THE EUROPEAN BLUES UNION (EBU)
Presents the 4th European Blues Challenge in Riga, European Capital of Culture
The European Blues Union (EBU) is a non-profit organization established in 2010 by a group of European Blues professionals and enthusiasts encompassing festival and tour promoters, clubs, agents, Blues magazines, journalists, photographers, researchers, independent record companies and distributors, radio deejays, and Blues musicians. To achieve the common goal of bringing the Blues into the public limelight and spreading the Blues message, the EBU has various activities � The annual European Blues Challenge (EBC) represents its major cultural undertaking and networking of the European Blues community.
During 11-12 April 2014 Blues artists from 18 European countries, each of them winners of their national blues challenge contests will compete at the 4th European Blues Challenge to be held at Sapnu Fabrika in Latvia�s capital city Riga.

The winners will be awarded by given the opportunity to perform at the following major European Festivals later in 2014: Frederikshavn Blues Festival (Denmark), Hondarribia Blues Festival (Spain), Lucerne Blues Festival (Switzerland), Notodden Blues Festival (Norway), Puisto Blues Festival (Finland), Sierre Blues Festival (Switzeland), Trasimeno Blues Festival (Italy), Basel Blues Festival 2015 (Switzerland).
